Weddings
What if I don’t live in the Parish?
If you have a connection with the Parish then you can also get married here. For example, if you used to live in the Parish, or if you used to attend Sunday School or if your parents were married here.
If you have no connection but still would like to be married here then you can do so by worshipping regularly with us for 6 months and so be included on our membership or electoral roll. You are welcome at any service.
What if I have been married before?
It is possible to be married in church if you have been married before and are now divorced. Please contact the Rector. All enquiries will be dealt with respectfully and with an open mind.
How Much Does it Cost?
The basic cost for the legalities is approximately £550. If you would like to have special flowers, organ etc then this will incur extra costs.
If you are thinking of getting married please contact Revd Louise Williams.
More information about getting married can be found on the Church of England website here.
Who can get married at St Andrew’s or
St Peter's?
Every part of the UK is divided up between Church of England churches and the area we care for is called a Parish. In simple terms, our parish extends east of Maplin Way and south of Constable Way. If you or your partner live within South Shoebury parish boundaries then you are entitled to be married at either of our churches.
