More than 50 people gathered in St Andrew's churchyard in
South Shoebury on July 10th to remember
We sang some hymns, said prayers and the service concluded with everyone going in to church to light a candle in memory of those who had died. It was a peaceful and comforting time in a beautiful spot. The sun shone on us and we were pleased to welcome those who attended to the church hall afterwards for refreshments. We hope to make this an annual event. |

What happens when you have 27 adults, 6 children, 7 dogs and
a leopard gecko in the same room? You have a wonderful happy time! In spite of
torrential rain and thunder and lightning a good number braved the elements to
attend our Pet Service.
Held in the church hall we sang hymns and songs and introduced our pets: some people brought a photo if their pets weren't keen on company! We gave thanks for our pets and prayed for working animals and those who aren't well cared for. The story Jesus told of the lost sheep reminded us of how
precious our animals are to us and how precious we all are to God. |
