There is an active group of men, some from the congregations, some partners of members of the congregations and some friends, who meet weekly in the local Conservative Club. We join together after 9 o'clock in the evening so that those who can come have had time for their evening meal, to see the kids to bed and to discuss the day with their partners and so that this is not a 'boys night out' session. We have a drink or two and conversations of all sorts in pleasant non-threatening surroundings. The Fellowship is often involved in Charity Fundraising for The Children's Society and for the Southend Cystic Fibrosis Association. ![]() A Christmas Dinner is held every year, funded by weekly levy, and throughout the year activities such as barbecues and snooker tournaments are held. There are several Home Groups who meet for Bible teaching, prayer, support and fellowship every week. Home Group 'courses' are held during the period of Lent and there are other groups associated with Alpha and New Christians Courses when these are being held. The principle in this parish has been "every member ministry" for some years. |

The Missionary Team are responsible for advising the P.C.C. on
'placing' the church's missionary fund. This fund is created by the tithing of
the Parish income. The Team advises on money set aside for disaster funds and national or international emergencies and as contingency for emerging missionary work. |

A monthly parish prayer group meeting is held before each Parochial Church Council Meeting. Groups meet together weekly for prayer both in private houses and in the churches. A Ladies prayer group meets specifically to pray for concerns within the parish and its churches. |
