The Disability Information and Advice Service was set up with the disabled and disadvantaged community in mind by people who themselves are disabled and disadvantaged.

We found that good information about disability and health in Southend was non-existent and we try to allow those who are disabled and disadvantaged to become independent and to take part in the health and well being in their communities.

Who do we help?

Those who are disabled, disadvantaged and/or have a health problem and their carer(s), relatives and friends.
If we don't know the answer we know someone who does.
