The Royal Artillery Association is a welfare association for veterans and serving soldiers of the Royal Artillery and for those who have served with and assisted Gunners in and out of uniform.

Since Shoebury housed an RA Gunnery School, ranges and regiments for many years there is a strong RAA branch based in the village.
